Putting out content isn't enough...

Before you panic and think "Oh my god! I'm already doing a million things, if putting out content isn't enough what else do I have to do now?!" *crying face* take a deep breathe and let it out...I stand by what I say that putting out content is not enough on its own! If you're just making content for the sake of making content (blogs, podcasts, posts, Reels, lives, etc) but it has no purpose behind it then you're going to struggle to build a loyal audience.
We want to create content that our audience are going to get value from that's going to make an impact on their lives, either they're being entertained, inspired or educated and it makes them want to read till the end and then come back for more. You see, when we're making content to build an audience we want them to become like a loyal friend, we give them value for free so that they see we have the expertise and knowledge to make a difference and if we can help them in one post, one blog or one Reel then imagine how we can help them working 1-2-1 or in a group programme.

I know, I know you might be thinking "But how do I know if I'm giving too much away for free so then they won't become my customer?" and the truth is you never can give enough away fro free, because even if you did your whole group coaching programme online for free do you know how many people in your audience would actually do it? Most probably none, because they haven't invested in themselves, when we put a money value down on a service or product that is an invested into ourselves to give us the transformation so if we get handed it on a plate it'll likely just sit there and disappear from our minds.

There are a few guidelines that I can give you to help you curate the content you're going to give them for free and that you want to sell to them when you're ready. We don't want to overwhelm with our free content because it's likely that they'll also be doing other jobs at the same time, sorting the dinner, escaping from the kids on the loo, walking the dog, etc. and they won't be able to take a lot in and actually remember it. Therefore you want to be telling them in an engaging and memorable way what they need and why they need it but leave the how to do it for your 1-2-1, group coaching, etc. 

Here's an example...

Free content:
Reels will help you build an audience quicker because video is proven to help potential customers get to know, like and trust you faster. 

Paid content:
If you don't know where to start I've made an eBook just for you, a simple step by step guide on how to make Instagram Reels with lots of screen shots and helpful tips to get you started to building a loyal audience.

Do you see the difference? I might also show a tutorial of how to do one element of Instagram Reels and then loop back to my paid content, however you want to find a good balance of sharing your offers and just offering free content, see what works for you.
